On cars establish a safety steering (fig. 6.1)
with the steering mechanism of type a lath — a gear wheel. The steering mechanism fastens on a body cross-piece. The shaft of the steering mechanism consists of two parts connected among themselves by the kardanny hinge. The steering wheel is regulated on height. The steering drive includes two steering drafts connected by hinges to rotary cams.
The hydraulic booster consisting of the power cylinder and the rotating distributor, is incorporated with the steering mechanism.
The pump of the hydraulic booster of a steering of lopastny type is given from a pulley of a cranked shaft by a poliklinovy belt on cars with the petrol engine and a usual maple belt on cars with the diesel engine.
