5.5.2. Removal, dismantling, assembly and installation of the oil pump

Lift a forward part of the car and put it on a support. Remove the right wheel, a mudguard and a protective guard of a case of the engine. Merge liquid from cooling system. Remove the top branch pipe of a radiator, driving belts of auxiliaries, a belt of a drive of the mechanism of a gazoraspredeleniye. Remove a gear pulley from a cranked shaft and take out a shponka. Remove a reception pipe of the exhaust silencer and its laying. Remove the bottom cross-piece, draft between the engine and a transmission, an oil case, a forward cover of the block of cylinders with the oil pump. Be convinced of absence задиров on gear wheels and the pump case. Check a technical condition of the oil pump the same as it is described in section. «Petrol engines». Gaps in the pump mechanism should make (fig. 3.27):
— between an end face of a conducted gear wheel and the plane of the case of the pump 0,05 — 0,09 mm;
— between external diameter of a conducted gear wheel and case 0,12 boring — 0,2 mm;
— between teeths of gear wheels no more than 0,18 mm.
Establish the oil pump as it should be, the return to removal. Thus perform the following works:
— replace without fluctuation bolts with crosswise shlitsa if they were broken;
— grease with engine oil all details of the pump;
— replace a sealing ring of a cover of the reduktsionny valve;
— replace laying of an oil case in places of an exit of a cranked shaft;
— replace a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft;
— put a layer of pressurizing paste on pure privalochny surfaces of the case of the oil pump and an oil case;
— fill in in the engine oil of the established quality;
— fill with liquid system of cooling and remove from it air;
— start the engine and be convinced of lack of a leak of cooling liquid and oil.
